UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PROGRAMS

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PROGRAM (URP)

FOR TANMS UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS. Our undergraduate researchers are exposed to diverse research teams, industrial practices, entrepreneurial training, and leadership experience. Researchers from the U.S. and abroad come together to link fundamental knowledge in science and engineering to pivotal technological realizations.

ACADEMIC YEAR URP

Throughout the academic year URP participants will:

  • Work in teams (e.g. 4-6 people) on a specific research problem under the mentorship of a faculty member and graduate students.
  • Learn system-integration, entrepreneurial, communication, research, engineering and scientific skills.
SUMMER URP

Select members of the Academic Year URP will be invited to continue research over the summer months. Selected participants will:

  • Mentor a group of TANMS affiliated high school students on the work they conducted during the academic year in conjunction with a TANMS faculty member.
  • Gain the opportunity to develop their leadership and communication skills with a diverse group of high school mentees and continue their research experience with TANMS.
